Rail Strike Next Week

As has been extensively reported, train services across the UK will be
extensively affected by strikes in the coming week:

– the strike days are Saturday 1 October, Wednesday 5 October and Saturday 8 October.

– but services on the intervening days are likely to have problems
running a normal service;

– some lines may well operate a limited service but, any services that
do run will probably start later than normal and stop earlier; and

– any services that do run are likely to be extremely busy.

More locally, there are not expected to be any services operating on the
MarshLink line on the strike days. One service expected to operate is
the Javelin service from Ashford to St. Pancras – but not other services
from Ashford.

So only attempt to travel if it is essential.
