A new regular Sunday service came to Winchelsea in December. Members of MLAG, local councillors and Southern Railway staff were there to greet the new service for which THWART have been campaigning for many years. In the picture are John Spencer, Mayor of Winchelsea and Stuart Harland, Chairman of MLAG.

Appledore to Ore via Rye is single track since double track Running was abandoned in 1974. This was a very short sighted decision given the expense of reinstatement and is the route cause of limited capacity.

Perhaps we could get Bob Dylan to come and do a painting:

Slam door units on the MarshLink into the 21c

The famous Green Goddess used to run between Hastings and London prior to electrification, then went into a museum but was still used occasionally on the MarshLink until fifteen years ago.
